The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has firmly denied an online report that he has bought a number of properties in Abuja for his wives since becoming minister.
In a rebuttal signed by his spokesperson, Mrs. Uwa Suleiman, on Friday, July 3, 2020, the Minister said he has not bought any single property anywhere in the world since the period he became minister.
An online publication had on Friday, July 3, 2020 published via Twitter photographs of buildings which it claimed the minister bought for his three wives. It was captioned “Buhari’s Minister Of Communications, Dr. Isa Pantami Living Large In Abuja, Purchases Three Houses In Wuse For His Three Wives.”
The Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy in its rebuttal asked the public to ignore the publication, while urging the media to undertake investigative journalism in order to avoid peddling false information.
