President Buhari asked to sack Minister of Education over the continued closure of schools

President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to sack the minister of education, Adamu Adamu over the continued closure of schools across the country.

The request however was made by Afenifere, a pan Yoruba socio political organisation.

According to the spokesperson of the organisation, Bashorun Sehinde Arogbofa, he stated that the minister do not know what he is doing.

According to him also, the education minister should be faulted for attempting to ground academic activities for a whole calender year.

He also revealed that both the minister of education and minister of state for education, Emeka Nwajiuba have no idea as to what they are doing.

The spokesperson who is also the secretary general of Afenifere, also revealed that the federal government should have come up with modalities within the 6 months of staying at home to ensure the protection of students in their various schools.

Recall that the federal government of Nigeria had earlier announced that all schools across the country should go on temporary closure so as to help avert the spread of the corona virus across the country.
