WASSCE begins nationwide today

The West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, WASSCE commences nationwide today.

Some three hundred and thirteen thousand, eight hundred and thirty-seven final year students are expected to take part in the examination.

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, WAEC in March put the Examination on hold.

This was to ensure government put in place stringent COVID 19 safety protocols to avert spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, President Akufo Addo has sent best wishes to the candidates.

He urged people associated with the conduct of the examination such as teaching and non- teaching staff, invigilators and students to abide by all Covid-19 safety protocols, as it remains the only weapon to defeat the pandemic.

Many well-meaning Ghanaians have also joined in well-wishes to the candidates.
