Following the large turnout of people at the various NIMC offices across the nation, and the call for the extension of the two weeks ultimatum earlier given by the federal government on NIN registration with sim cards, the Federal government has finally extended the deadline to a minimum of three weeks. Earlier, Lagos NIMC offices were shut as a result of overcrowding as thousands of people were struggling to get enrolled by the commission to avoid deactivation of their SIM cards. Some other groups have called for the extension of the deadline, says it’s not possible to capture almost a hundred million people in two weeks.
However, this is a news for those that are yet to get their national identity number as the time for registration had been extended. If you are yet to register, this is good opportunity to do so and link it to all your sim cards before the ultimatum given by the federal government runs out.
We hope this will help those people who are yet to register for the NIN. Thanks for reading and do follow for more updates.
